BSM program climbs to No. 31 in Poets & Quants undergraduate ranking

The Freeman School climbed 11 spots to No. 31 in the 2023 Poets&Quants for Undergrads ranking of the nation’s best undergraduate business schools. The ranking is Freeman’s highest since Poets&Quants began ranking undergraduate business programs in 2016.

“This jump in the rankings was driven primarily by the outstanding quality of our incoming students, who continue to be among the very best in the nation,” said Paulo Goes, dean of the Freeman School. “Undergraduate education is a big part of our five-year strategic plan, so we hope to see continued improvement over the next several years as we work to enhance all aspects of the Freeman undergraduate experience.”

Poets&Quants surveyed 92 undergraduate business schools to compile the list and based the ranking on three equally weighted categories: admissions standards, which included factors such as acceptance rate, average SAT scores, percentage of National Merit Scholar finalists and semifinalists, and the diversity of the class; academic experience, which was based on alumni responses to a 17-question survey; and employment outcomes, which was based on the percentage of students who had internships before their senior year, the percentage of students who had full-time jobs within 90 days of graduating, and the average
