The Freeman School awarded diplomas to nearly 1,000 degree candidates at its spring 2019 graduation ceremonies, which took place on May 17 in the Avron B. Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse on Tulane’s uptown campus.

Brian Weiss (BSM ’93) has been appointed chief strategy officer of the Risk Management Association. In the newly created role, Weiss will help guide product development and the association’s overall vision as it addresses the challenges and opportunities presented by a shifting financial services and risk management landscape.

Anthony Salazer (BSM/MACCT ’18) was named a 2018 recipient of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Elijah Watt Sells Award. Salazer, who is employed with Ernst & Young in New Orleans, is the third Freeman School graduate in the last five years to receive the honor.
