Jerry Greenbaum (BBA ’62) won the 2009 Senior Masters Golf Tournament in Indian Wells, Calif., and was part of a two-person team that won the 27th annual Ed Tutwiler Memorial Four-Ball Championship in Scottsdale, Ariz. As of June 7, 2009, Greenbaum was ranked
17th on the Golfweek/Titleist Senior Amateur Ranking.

Conrad E. “Ricky” Francois (MBA ’78) has been nominated to be the new director of the U.S. Virgin Islands Lottery. Francois has served in a number of administrative positions in the territory, including executive director of the V.I. Housing Authority, associate director of the Office of Management and Budget, director of Property and Procurement

W. Anderson Baker (BSM ’82) has joined the board of directors of Fidelity Homestead Savings Bank in New Orleans.
Bob (BSM ’81, MBA ’83) and Jenny (N ’83, MBA ’84) Kottler recently moved from Dallas to Washington, D.C., where Bob leads Capital One’s small business division. Bob is based at Capital One’s headquarters in McLean, Va., and splits his time between Virginia and New York. Jenny works with SUCCESS magazine as coordinator of its semi-annual SUCCESS Symposiums.
Mike Masur (BSM ’83) has become a shareholder in Resource Consulting Group, one of the largest fee-only financial planning and investment advisory firms in Florida. Masur joined RCG in 2005 and is currently the firm’s chief operating officer in addition to working with clients as an adviser.
Daniel L. Fink (MPH/MBA ’84) has been promoted to CEO of Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. Fink had been Riley’s chief operating officer since 2005 and had served as interim CEO since May 2009. Riley is the sixth-largest children’s hospital in the nation, with 249 beds at its downtown campus and another 99 at nearby Methodist Hospital. It receives more than 225,000 patient visits each year.
Kevin Rafferty (A&S ’79, MBA ’84) has joined Iberiabank Corp. as executive vice president and president of the company’s new South Texas region. In that role, Rafferty will initially be focused on developing the company’s commercial team in Houston. Rafferty was most recently senior vice president and manager of Whitney National Bank’s Middle Market Group in Houston. Prior to his move to Houston in 2005, Rafferty managed a commercial lending group in New Orleans for Whitney National Bank.
John C. Miotke (BSM ’86) has expanded the law firm of Gorman, Miotke & Dehra to include offices in St. Petersburg and Orlando, Fla. The firm continues to practice exclusively in the area of immigration and nationality law.
Ann Morrell Olevitch (BSM ’87, PHTM ’89) and her husband, Bill, announce the birth of their second child, Jacob “Jake” Andrew, on Jan. 16, 2009. Jake joins his big sister, Morgan, who is 3.
Paul Sternberg (BSM ’87) is president and CEO of Choice Corporate Housing, a Houston-based firm that offers fully furnished temporary rental housing for corporate and military clients. He was recently joined in the firm by Jennifer Hughes Espejo (BSM ’87), who as special projects director will be responsible for new business development and strategic planning.

Brian P. Keller (BSM ’88) has been promoted to senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana. Keller, who joined the company in 1996, was previously vice president for individual sales and marketing. In that role, he directed all sales and renewal activities for individual products to achieve planned sales goals and increase net membership.

Darron Davis (BSM ’91) and his wife, Denise, announce the birth of their second daughter, Danielle, on April 14, 2009. Big sister Darryen, who is 6 years old, is enjoying the new addition to the family. The couple celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary in May. Davis is the chief of human resources for the School District of Palm Beach County. The family resides in Lake Worth, Fla.

Joshua Haims (BSM ’92) has been named vice president of finance at Networkcar, a San Diego-based provider of wireless in-vehicle technology that combines patented remote diagnostics systems with GPS-based Automatic Vehicle Location technology. Prior to joining Networkcar, Haims had leadership roles with companies including IBM, Bloomingdale’s, KPMG Peat Marwick and startups Global Centric Networks and Slopecycle. As vice president of finance, Haims will drive all financial activities for the organization, shape the long-term strategy of the company and develop day-to-day tactics.
Walt Becker (MBA ’93) is founder and managing partner of Triligi Consulting LLC. Becker founded the company in 2008 after more than 15 years consulting to Fortune 1000 companies and serving as a sales executive at Citrix Systems. Based in Boca Raton, Fla., Triligi specializes in developing, aligning and executing marketing and sales strategies in business-to-business industries. Becker resides in South Florida with his wife

Rebekah Brussow Lemm (MBA ’93) has been promoted to global HR development director at Intralox. Lemm joined Intralox 14 years ago and has been based in Amsterdam, the company’s European headquarters, for 10 years. Prior to the promotion, Lemm served as director of the global tire business unit.

Chris Melancon (MBA ’94) has been appointed vice president of development at Enigma Diagnostics, a private company based in the U.K. that is developing the next generation of rapid molecular diagnostic instrument platforms for decentralized and point-of-care settings. Melancon, who will head the company’s new office in San Francisco, has more than 16 years experience in life sciences and information technology industries, including senior positions at Applied Biosystems and Siebel Systems, a division of Oracle.
Lakshman Charanjiva (MBA ’95) has joined Florida Power & Light Group in Palm Beach County, Fla., as CIO. FPL Group delivers energy-related products and services to customers in 27 states. Its rate-regulated subsidiary, Florida Power & Light Co., serves approximately 4.5 million customers in Florida, and its competitive energy subsidiary, FPL Energy, is a leader in producing electricity from clean and renewable fuels.
Eduardo S. Espinosa (MBA/JD ’95) has been elected a partner by K&L Gates LLP. Espinosa is a member of the firm’s corporate practice group in its Dallas office. Espinosa’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, and general commercial transactions. A former enforcement attorney for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Espinosa also represents market participants in various enforcement proceedings with the SEC, state securities agencies and FINRA. Internationally, Espinosa advises foreign and domestic entities on cross-border commercial transactions and foreign investments.
Lise Anne Dumond Slatten (MBA ’95) was recently awarded a doctorate degree in management from Case Western Reserve University. In January 2008, Slatten joined the full-time faculty of the College of Business Administration at University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and she will continue in that capacity, teaching upper division undergraduate management students and MBA students. Slatten’s dissertation examined the effectiveness of nonprofit certification and accreditation, with a specific focus on the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations’ Standards for Excellence program. Slatten has presented this research at numerous conferences and workshops across the country, and the results will be published as one of the “Best Papers” in the proceedings of the 2009 Academy of Management meeting.
Brig. Gen. Robert W. Kenyon (MBA ’95) is commander of the 11th Military Police Brigade at Camp Cooper in Iraq. As the Task Force MP North headquarters, the brigade oversees operations for three separate theater internment facilities and two forward operating bases in central and northern Iraq with five battalion-sized units. In addition, to assist the Iraqi government in building its judicial capability, Task Force MP North provides oversight for an Iraqi Corrections Officer Academy whose graduates learn the fundamentals of caring for and controlling prisoners in accordance with established international standards. Task Force MP North also provides support to the Iraqi High Tribunal and the Central Criminal Court of Iraq. Prior to assuming command of the brigade in 2007, Kenyon served on active duty for three years as commander of Mobilization Troop Command, United States Army Infantry Center, in Fort Benning, Ga. In his civilian career, Brig. Gen. Kenyon is the chief of logistics for the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System, Department of Veterans Affairs. He is married and has two daughters, and the family resides in New Orleans.
Paul Friedman (MBA/JD ’96) has been promoted to senior vice president of Music Business Affairs for Sony Pictures Entertainment. Friedman, who joined Sony Pictures in 2001, is responsible for transactions related to music on behalf of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s global operations. In that capacity, he handles the acquisition of music rights for content including theatrical, television, home entertainment, online, mobile and videogame productions, as well as marketing and merchandise. Friedman has provided music business support on some of the studio’s most successful projects, including worldwide blockbusters such as Spider-Man and The DaVinci Code. Prior to joining Sony, Friedman practiced law in Los Angeles, most recently for King, Holmes, Paterno and Berliner, LLP; worked as a financial analyst for Polygram Music Publishing; and was an attorney in private practice at two other entertainment law firms.
Murray P. Nelson (A&S ’89, MBA ’96) has been named district director for Rep. Anh “Joseph” Cao (R-La.). Nelson is the owner of DMC New Orleans, a destination management company that specializes in producing conventions and hospitality-related events.
Andy Silverman (BSM ’96) and his wife, Amy, are proud to announce the birth of twins, Avery Michelle and Ryan Zachary, on Feb. 6, 2009. Silverman is director of corporate strategy for Qwest Communications. The couple resides in Littleton, Colo.
Katherine Hanemann (MBA ’97) was one of the first 100 employees selected out of 5,500 applicants to participate in IBM’s Corporate Service Corps. This program teams IBM employees with non-governmental organizations in developing and emerging markets. As part of the program, Hanemann spent a month in Arusha, Tanzania, working with the Tanzanian Association of Tour Operators. Hanemann resides in Atlanta.
Nick Loeb (BSM ’98) has announced his candidacy for the Florida State Senate, District 25. Loeb had begun a campaign for State Representative, District 87 in April 2009, but he chose to run for the senate seat instead when Senator from District 25 Jeff Atwater announced he was seeking the office of Florida’s chief financial officer. Loeb, a resident of Delray Beach, is managing partner of Carbon Solutions America, a South Florida-based sustainability consulting and carbon management firm.

Kerry Foley Kessler (BSM ’99) is the new district coordinator for Urban Land Institute-Louisiana. In addition to her work with Urban Land Institute, she is the controller for AndersonSimon Companies and Griffon Companies. These firms invest in, redevelop and
manage mixed-income multi-family housing in New Orleans; Galveston, Texas; and Hayward, Calif. Kessler is happily married to Jeffrey Darren Kessler from Farmington Hills, Mich., and she resides in the French Quarter with her two boxer rescues, Max and Kitty.
Robert MacKenzie (MBA ’99) has been named managing director within the Energy & Natural Resources Group of FBR Capital Markets Corp. McKenzie covers the oilfield services and offshore drilling sectors for the company, a leading
investment bank serving the middle market. MacKenzie joined FBR Capital Markets’ Energy & Natural Resources Group in 2002. In 2008, he was named
by Forbes.com as among the five highest-ranked analysts for the oilfield machinery & services sector, and he has been designated by StarMine as a five-star rated analyst for earnings estimate accuracy. Prior to joining FBR Capital Markets, MacKenzie spent several years at both Citigroup and Southcoast Capital as an equity analyst covering energy companies.

Liz Kritza (BSM ’00) was recently named head volleyball coach at the University of Colorado. Kritza was previously head volleyball coach at Tulane, where in 2009 she guided the Green Wave to its first NCAA Tournament berth. Tulane finished the season 28-6 and won both the Conference USA regular season and tournament titles, the first time for either in school history. The Green Wave reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament, defeating Tennessee Tech before losing to Western Michigan. Kritza’s four-year record at Tulane was 76-39. Prior to becoming head coach, Kritza was a Tulane assistant for six years and a member of the volleyball team from 1995-98.

Rand Alford (BSM ’02) was selected to serve on the 2009 Leesville, La., Knights of Columbus Council Mardi Gras Court. Alford and his wife, Andrea, live in Leesville, where Alford helps to run Alford Motors.
Jay Lewis (MBA ’02) is vice president and chief accounting officer of Enexus Energy Corp. in Ridgeland, Miss. Enexus is a merchant nuclear generation company created through a spin-off from Entergy.
Luis Valencia (MBA ’02, MACCT ’03)
is a partner and CFO of MCI Concrete and Ready Mix, a provider of concrete and related products to the construction industry in metro Atlanta. The firm recently invested $2.7 million in a new plant. In addition to his role with MCI, Valencia is also president and CEO of Housing & Housing LLC, a residential and light commercial construction
company with operations in Florida, Georgia and Louisiana.

Andrea M. Lee (MBA ’04) has joined Deloitte Consulting in Houston as a manager. Lee was previously with BearingPoint Inc., which sold most of its Public Services units to Deloitte in May 2009.
2005
Kevin J. Gremillion (MBA ’05) has been appointed to the newly created position of operations manager at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. In his new role, Gremillion will oversee administrative planning and financial management of the capital project agenda and daily operations at the Saratoga Springs facility. Prior to joining the race course, Gremillion worked in New York as a senior associate with Alvarez and Marsal, a management consulting firm specializing in financial restructuring and crisis management. After joining Alvarez and Marsal in New Orleans, Gremillion assisted contractors and labor groups to rebuild schools and oversaw more than $10 million in construction and school supplies as part of the restoration of New Orleans public schools in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Gremillion also helped to coordinate administrative and planning activity between schools in Orleans Parish and the Federal Emergency Management Administration.
Edin Imsirovic (MBA ’05) has joined Tower Group Inc. in New York. Imsirovic is doing M&A analysis, investment analysis and industry research for the firm.
Jennifer Young (MBA ’05) recently relocated from Cincinnati to New Orleans to take a new job as a product manager for Zatarain’s in Gretna, La. Young is responsible for marketing and business growth at Zatarain’s, which is spreading authentic New Orleans cuisine to the

Cliff Gerber (BSM ’07) is a business systems analyst with Infosys Technologies in Richmond, Va., where he works onsite with client Capital One to coordinate the IT needs of its Canadian credit card business with Infosys developers and testers in India. Following his graduation from the Freeman School in May 2007, Gerber traveled to Mysore, India, where he spent six months in residence at Infosys U., one of the world’s largest corporate training facilities. Gerber was one of only 80 Americans among the 4,500 recruits there to learn software development, project management, and the company’s outsourcing model. Gerber had never taken a computer science class before being selected for the program, but he says his tenacity following Hurricane Katrina and his love of travel helped to win him the highly competitive spot. Infosys is India’s second-largest technology company, and was one of the primary inspirations for Thomas Friedman’s 2005 New York Times best seller The World Is Flat: A Brief History of the Twenty-first Century.
Sanford B. Kaynor Jr. (MBA ’07) has joined Jones Walker as special counsel in the Corporate & Securities Practice Group. He will practice from the law firm’s New Orleans office. Prior to joining the firm, Kaynor worked at international law firms in New York for more than 20 years, most recently as a partner at Ropes & Gray LLP. Kaynor represents private equity and other financial and strategic investors and their portfolio companies, as well as family-owned companies and other public and private targets in private equity financials and M&A transactions.
Levi Stoneking (BSM ’07) is a licensed real estate salesperson with Prudential Douglas Elliman in New York. In spite of the downturn, Stoneking says he’s thriving in the residential real estate market. “Whenever anyone says I’m crazy to stay in real estate right now,” Stoneking says, “I say, ‘Please, I’m from New Orleans. We can handle anything!’”

Matt Pennebaker (BSM ’08) was recently named manager of the New Orleans office of Pennebaker Fifth Ring, an integrated corporate communications and litigation support firm with offices in Houston, Aberdeen, U.K., and Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The firm provides trial and arbitration support services including jury research, graphic exhibits, courtroom technology and presentation, case management, witness preparations, and media and public relations.
